School Planetarium Programs

Planetarium lessons are given for schools throughout the school year (Mon – Fri @ 9:30 am / 10:45 am / 12:30 pm). The lessons are aligned with the Georgia Performance Standards and are approximately 45 minutes in length. Each lesson includes a tour of the current night sky with our iconic Zeiss planetarium star projector and a presentation using our new state of the art digital projector which creates a stunning full-dome immersive environment, while guiding students through the wonders of the universe.

DeKalb teachers please contact the Fernbank liaison at your school for scheduling information.

Non-Dekalb teachers please call 678-874-7113 or email for reservations.

The price for non-DeKalb County students is $4.00 per student. However, for each fifteen students one teacher or adult chaperone will be admitted without charge. All other adults beyond this number will be charged $5.00. See below for our current planetarium programs at various grade levels.
