Fernbank Bird Watching Tours
Fernbank Science Center, in conjunction with the Stone Mountain Memorial Association, will offer two bird watching tours at Stone Mountain park this Fall. If you have an interest in birds, the tours will be a great way to see and learn about them in their natural environment. The tours will begin in the parking lot of the Stone Mountain "Songbird Habitat" at 8:00 a.m. and will last until approximately 10:30 a.m. (you may leave at any time). Please bring your own binoculars. Checklists will be provided. This is a great way to meet people who share your interest in birds. Hope to see you there!
Dates: June 28th, 2011
Time: 8:00 am - 10:30 am
Directions: From the main gate*, exiting U.S. 78 (Stone Mountain Freeway), enter the park and take an immediate left onto Stonewall Jackson Drive. The bird habitat is a few miles on the left. *Please be aware that there is $10.00/day parking fee to enter the park. Alternatively, you can buy a year long parking pass for $35.00
